Wendy Carlton artist and creator of Daisy Doodle...
Wendy studied textile design in Nottingham where she gained a first class (hons) degree.
She went onto be employed by a Bond St studio designing fashion fabrics which were sold worldwide. After gaining valuable experience, she went freelance designing greeting cards, which she did successfully throughout the late 80s and 90s.
In 2001 after having her only child Daisy, she decided to change direction creating large vibrant floral paintings on canvas. Initially Wendy produced a small collection, which has grown considerably due to demand. One of her paintings is used by Sheffield Botanical Gardens as their official logo and she exhibits her work nationally.
She has been interviewed and displayed work on Local TV and radio. Her eye-catching paintings work particularly well as a focal point in a simple interior. They can be viewed online at www.wendycarlton.com.
Her latest venture daisy-doodle was conceived in 2006 and has been so well received that she started the company Wendy Carlton Creations Ltd in 2007 with daisy-doodle being the main product.
